Daikin Day
Daikin Day Event Graphics & Website
Description: Graphics for an annual outdoor event held for 2,000+ employees and their families at Daikin’s new manufacturing facility in Waller, TX.
Objective: To recruit employees for event volunteer work and to help build excitement for a new event that year — the Daikin Olympics. Create all pieces on a shoestring budget.
Comments: This was an internal volunteer role. Projects were completed in addition to my full-time duties.
Responsibilities: Art direction, production, web design, sign printing/installation, cheerleader
Employer: Goodman Manufacturing (Daikin North America) | Houston, TX
Responsive Website
Communicating clearly with 2,000+ employees, many of which don’t have computers, was a challenge. I created a simple, easy to follow site that could be clearly viewed on tablets and phones. The content was organized according to the importance of the user.
Responsibilities: Art direction, production. Collaborate with event coordinator over content and design.
Software: Squarespace, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator
Volunteer Recruiting Signs, Banners & Flyers
Employee volunteers were the backbone of running the event. Part of my job was to help recruit them person-to-person and via bold friendly graphics placed all throughout the facility.
Responsibilities: Art direction, production. Collaborate with event coordinator over content and design. Produce templates for the production designer.
Software: Adobe Illustrator, Indesign
Event Wayfinder Graphics
I designed, produced, printed, and with volunteer assistance installed roughly 50+ signs the morning of the event. All materials were printed/assembled in-house to reduce cost.
Software: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign
