Description: Assorted print collateral for Amana Heating & Air Conditioning — a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) company.

Objective: Maintain brand standards (visual and messaging) consistently across multiple print applications.

Description: Biyearly product catalog of HVAC products. For use mainly by HVAC installers and contractors for commercial and residential applications.

Objective: Update overall current catalog design. Reduce clutter, improve consistency in Amana’s visual identity and messaging throughout. Redesign cover each year to keep it fresh visually.

Comments: All content was rearranged in order of importance to improve ease of use. Competitors’ materials were reviewed for comparison and I consulted with product managers to ensure it met the consumer’s needs.

Responsibilities: Art direction, production. Collaborate with product managers, marketing directors, and engineers over content/data. Proof content, produce final artwork, and supervise printing.

When I started at the marketing department Amana had a very basic visual identity guide, which created a lot of room for error. As a side project, I redesigned and rewrote 75% of the guide. Details such as trademark usage rights, cross-platform color formulas, and secondary font options were added.

Description: Assorted brand support graphics for use by Amana dealers, and various internal departments.

Objective: Refresh and update materials on a regular basis. Provide multiple choices for our clients.

Responsibilities: Graphic design. Work with graphics manager over content and design. Coordinate printing and distribution with fulfillment print company.

Facility Tour itinerary, visual identity & usage guide

Facility Tour itinerary, visual identity & usage guide

Description: Die-cut itinerary given to participants of tours in the Amana (Daikin) manufacturing facility in Texas. And a visual identity guide to support the creation of additional tour collateral by team members.

Objective: Create fun memorable graphics for tour participants. Itinerary must be cost-efficient, have room for a bc and updatable itinerary card, and be easily assembled by tour coordinators.

Responsibilities: Art direction, production. Collaborate with the graphics manager and event coordinators over design and needs. Art direct use of graphics throughout the marketing department. Produce artwork and supervise the printing.

PTAC Product Sheets/Sales Materials

Description: Sales materials for Amana’s line of packaged terminal air conditioners (PTAC).

Responsibilities: Photoshoot art direction, graphic design, production. Maintain print materials for the line. Worked with the product manager, internal literature department, and printers to ensure all materials were up-to-date, accurate, and in stock.

Description: Die-cut pocket folder for multipurpose use. The design is refreshed every 2-3 years.

Objective: Visually emphasize that Amana’s residential HVAC products are made in the USA.

Transformable Trade Show Booth

Transformable Trade Show Booth

Objective: Create trade show graphics that look like a hotel room entranceway to showcase a line of energy-efficient PTAC units and accessories. Must work in both a 10’x10’ and 20’x20’ booth/island. PTAC unit and accessories need to function accurately.

Responsibilities: Supervised project (minus technical end), art direction, produced graphics; and procured lamps, shelves, and other hotel accessories. Assisted manufacturer in the structure design.
